WELCOME TO THE STATE THEATRE!
Located in the heart of downtown’s Arts District, the State is a premiere performing arts venue, hosting live concerts, comedians, and theatrical productions.
The theatre is also available for rent by the hour or by the day for receptions, band rehearsal and recording, dance and exercise instruction, business meetings, parties, and more. INFO >>
The State Theatre, shown above in 1941, first opened on June 8, 1940, as a 1,074-seat movie house designed by Chicago architect Irving M. Karlin. It was the newest of five movie theatres that once served downtown Logansport — and was the only one to survive past the mid 1970s.
