

Student Technical Theatre Workshop
About the Program: The Junior Tech Program is a free technical theatre education program for students in Cass County who do not have access to theatre programs at school. Students will learn basic theatre technical skills and participate in running the tech for a live show at the State Theatre in September.
Workshop Information
Workshop Dates: July 13th – July 17th Weeklong workshop
Production Dates – Students will work on the Production of “The Uninvited” during July, August and the performances on September 4th and 5th.
Location: State Theatre, Logansport, Indiana

Program Goals:

Teach Foundational Technical theatre skills

Provide hands-on experience in a professional theatre

Build teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence

Introducing students to backstage roles and live production
Skills & Activities:

Lighting: Instruments, focusing, operating controls

Sound: Microphones, audio equipment, soundboard operation

Stage Management & Crew: Cue calling, set changes, backstage organization

Production Prep: Tech rehearsals, working with directors, running cues
Who Can Join:

Students of all skill levels in Cass County high school students. This includes those who will be a freshman in the coming school year and those who graduated in 2026.
