The State Theatre Preservation Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the historic State Theatre in downtown Logansport, Ind. The theatre is listed on the Indiana and National Registers of Historic Place as part of the Courthouse Square Historic District, and celebrated its 75th year in operation in June 2015. Today, the theatre is a live performance venue.

The Society is committed to providing local and regional artists with not only a spectacular space in which to perform, but educational offerings aimed at inspiring and nurturing our region’s rich
artistic community.

Our mission: Create a facility that promotes local artists by providing a venue to showcase their talent; develop educational initiatives that include technical training, the use of the theatre for rehearsal and performance, scholarships, and art and music education; create a facility that local nonprofit organizations and government bodies can use for their needs; create a facility that serves as the crown jewel of downtown Logansport and continuing downtown revitalization efforts — a place the citizens of Cass County can be proud of.

There are many ways you can help — come to our shows, make a tax-exempt donation, or even volunteer to help us during our shows or as we clean and maintain the theatre!
