The board of the State Theatre Preservation Society is canceling all of its shows through the end of April, in accordance with Gov. Eric Holcomb’s declaration that gatherings of people numbering 50 or more should be canceled over concerns of spreading COVID-19.

The State Theatre is committed to providing quality entertainment to the community, but also feels it is prudent and practical to avoid promoting the mass gathering of individuals during this public health emergency.

The shows impacted by this decision are:

  • Saturday, March 21: The Record Farm 4th anniversary concert has been cancelled and pre-sold tickets are in the process of being refunded.

  • Saturday, April 11: The Rush Tribute Project show has been rescheduled for Dec. 19. New tickets and event pages are being created and all pre-sold tickets will be transferred to the new date. An email will be sent to all ticket holders in the next few days with information of how to cancel purchases and receive a refund if the ticket holder cannot attend the show on the new date.

  • Saturday, April 18: A free screening of the movie “High Fidelity” has been cancelled.

  • Friday, April 24: The Jason Wells Band concert, with opening act Kevin Bean, has been cancelled.

The following events are currently still scheduled but may be impacted if COVID-19 social distancing measures are still in effect:

  • Friday, May 1: Action Fest

  • Saturday, May 16: A free screening of the movie “This Is Spinal Tap.”

The following events are scheduled for the State Theatre but are not State Theatre productions. We are awaiting word on whether the organizers will be able to hold these events:

  • Tuesday, April 18: The Cass County Planning Department has scheduled a public information presentation for 4:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 25: LHS after prom

We also encourage you to visit the CDC, World Health Organization and Indiana Dept. of Health for information on how best to avoid being affected by the coronavirus during this time.

Thank you for supporting the State Theatre Preservation Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity.
